Can entertainment be anything other than what we already know we want? And is art what we didn't know we wanted but discovered we needed?

Edie Nightcrawler's solo performances are glamorous yet weird.  A choreographer by trade, she enjoys creating a theatrical spectacle that is body-centric, surprising, and sprinkled with stupid humor. With influences as varied as Tango,  80's music videos, Fellini, and Benny Hill, Edie has performed extensively around New York city including The Slipper Room, The Box, Coney Island, and innumerable Burlesque venues and gay bars! She  collaborates and performs often with her partner Dame Cuchifrita, including the #midlifecrisiseuropeantour which took them to Berlin, Paris, Bratislava and Reykjavik.

Edie  has performed in music videos and as a back up dancer for artists such as Sasha Velour, Amanda Lepore, Zola Jesus, and Madonna Impersonator Chris America! Edie can be found on Youtube as Comedy Central's "Succubus"; and appears on occasion in Taylor Mac's magical 24 Decades of Popular Music. In 2011 she joined the opening cast of Absinthe at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, which won Best New Show and is still selling out today.

As a choreographer Edie has created numerous events, works for children, non dancers and burlesque performers. Notably this includes a French television commercial directed by Michel Gondry, and coaching Burlesque-Circus superstar Trixie Little’s number that won her the title Miss Exotic World 2015. She was honored in 2006 to create a fashion show of Robert Rauschenberg's costumes commissioned by the Merce Cunningham Dance Foundation, and supervised by Merce Cunningham. Edie choreographed (and performed the role of Secretary Edith) off- Broadway in Angela DiCarlo's original musical parody of Mad Men: "The Mad World of Miss Hathaway"; noted as Low Brow Brilliant in New York Magazine.  Recently she choreographed productions of Rent, and Urinetown at the United Nations International School.

As a contemporary dancer Edie has worked with New York based choreographers  Stanley Love, Greg Zuccolo, Glen Rumsey, Julie Atlas Muz, Liz Santoro,  Kraig Patterson, and AUNTS among others, and performed Deborah Hay's solo NEWS at the Whitney Museum of American Art. She has worked on European based projects with Boris Charmatz, Robert Stejn, and Ann Crossett; and in 2010 won a highly competitive Dance WEB scholarship to Impulstanz in Vienna. Since 2008 she has been honored to assist her mentor, renowned ballet teacher Janet Panetta.

Of her performance of Deborah Hay's solo NEWS at the Whitney Museum of American Art the New York Times wrote: (Edie's) " vivid presence and suggestion of lurking humor gave the brief solo the look of an excursion by Bette Midler into avant-garde performance art."
